Problem
A warranty label for every product model was a task for a designer: low priority, so it waited for days, and each one required checking the EU guidelines again. The quality control department needed them on the spot.
What I built
One HTML/CSS/JS file, no installation. It loads a list of models from Excel or pasted text, shows a label preview with the code and generates a JPG and PDF for every model. The guidelines are built into the tool, so nobody has to check them for every label.
Result
Over 230 labels. The quality control department generates them itself, in seconds, on demand. About 10 minutes saved per label, and above all no more waiting for a task from the back of the queue.
How it works
The tool goes to the person who needs it, not to the designer. That is the simplest way to make a task stop existing.
